U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian, outgoing Commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT), speaks to attendees at a change of command ceremony at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Aug. 30, 2018. Harrigian served as the AFCENT Commander and Combined Force Air Component Commander beginning in July 2016, and led U.S. and Coalition air operations against ISIS as part of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq and Syria and against the Taliban and terrorist networks in Afghanistan as part of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and the NATO Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.
