Infantrymen with the 1st Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment provide suppressive fire with M240B machine guns for their team during a joint combined arms live fire exercise Aug. 26-30 at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland. The CALFEX is designed to maintain readiness and build interoperability among BPTA Soldiers. The Soldiers are on a six-month rotational assignment in support of the multinational battle group comprised of U.S., U.K., Croatian and Romanian Soldiers who serve with the Polish 15th Mechanized Brigade as a defense and deterrence force in northeast Poland in support of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence at BPTA.
