U.S. Air Force Capt. Jane Marlow, 37th Airlift Squadron pilot, configures a radio during a Survival, Evasion, Rescue, and Escape scenario in Bolovani, Romania, Aug. 24, 2018. Marlow and her fellow pilots had to navigate through woods and foliage before contacting Romanian air force pilots to “rescue” them. The training was part of Carpathian Summer 2018, a bilateral training exercise designed to enhance interoperability and readiness of forces by conducting combined air operations with the Romanian air force.
