POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK – The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Shrike, a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium from Station New York and a New York marine boat are moored at Shadows Marina in Poughkeepsie, New York, during an outreach event for Operation Safe Hudson the morning of Aug. 24, 2018. Over the summer boating months, the Coast Guard and regional partner agencies participated in Operation Safe Hudson educating the public about safe boating. The event with the Shrike, Aids to Navigation Team Saugerties, Station New York and Sector New York created an opportunity for all involved agencies to spend a little bit of time together discussing opportunities to promote safe boating on the Hudson River. learning from each other.
