A landing craft air cushion prepares to debark after dropping off Marines and sailors during Exercise Dawn Blitz, Oct. 2. The LCACs have been used in tsunami relief efforts, Hurricane Katrina and California wildfires. The LCAC has a top speed of 50 mph and can board moving ships as well as beaches throughout the world.
