Spc. Alexander Fordyce, assigned to 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, from Fort Bragg, N.C., cuts a cake commemorating the 500,000th Rest and Recuperation (R&R) passenger to be processed through the Third Army/U.S. Army Central Life Support Area's R&R program, June 11. Fordyce, 19, and a native of Fayetteville, N.C., was chosen from a group of 300 service members to be the 500,000th R&R passenger. Fordyce was accompanied by Maj. Gen. Thomas Robinson, 377th Theater Support Group (Forward), commander.
