Petty Officer 1st Class Rory Jenkins, a Coast Guard oil spill responder from the Incident Management Division at Sector Columbia River, oversees cleanup efforts of approximately 700 gallons of diesel fuel that was discharged into Yaquina Bay, in Newport, Ore., Aug. 14, 2018.

The cleanup began when local responders deployed containment booms and applied sorbents.
