U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Kenneth Stafford, a field artillery cannoneer with 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division is awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding performance of his duties during the regimental phase of SUMMER FIREX 2018, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 10, 2018. The exercise was conducted to sustain and enhance 1st Marine Regiment’s ability to plan and deliver direct fire support coordination, counter fires, and regimental command and control.
