U.S. Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. James Davis conveys his intentions as the new Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa senior enlisted leader during a senior enlisted leader change of responsibility ceremony here Sept. 22. Davis came from Kadena Air Base, Japan, where he served as the 18th Wing command chief master sergeant. Davis assumed his new responsibilities from U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Scott Mykoo. CJTF–HOA, under the command of U.S. Africa Command, conducts civil and non-combatant military operations in East Africa aimed to strengthen defense capability and protect U.S. and coalition interest, promote regional stability and dissuade conflict.
