U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Taylor Boyet, a field radio operator assigned to Combat Service Support Company (CSSC), I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, sets up a forward operating base during a field exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 8, 2018. The purpose of setting up a forward operating base is to extend command and control or communications and provide support for training and tactical operations.
