N.Y. Army National Guard Sgt. Chance Ahlberg, assigned to the 427th Brigade Support Battalion, reads about the Newfoundland Memorial, Beaumont-Hamel, France, Aug. 6, 2018. As part of commemorations of the centennial of the end of WWI, the 27th and 30th Infantry Brigade Combat Teams sent Soldiers to to Belgium and France to conduct ceremonies and tour famous locations to commemorate the event.
