180802-N-TI567-054 VARNA, Bulgaria -- Bulgarian naval defense force professionals participate in a simulated board and search exercise on the Black Sea in Varna, Bulgaria. The sailors were participating in a two-week Patrol Craft Officer - Coastal course sponsored by the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School, which is located at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
With a recent U.S. grant funding, the Bulgarian navy received 11-meter and seven-meter rigid-hulled inflatable force protection boats. NAVSCIATTS held a two-week mobile training team engagement utilizing prior in-resident graduates from Bulgaria as instructor cadre for the iteration.
