A 1644th Transportation Company Soldier sands down a rotor on a Caiman Plus. 1644th is a new-to-theater National Guard unit from the Illinois National Guard as part of the Joint Logistics Task Force 6, replacing their sister unit, the 1244th Transportation Company. The work the Soldier performed is part of routine quality checks and quality controls on the 1644th’s newly assigned equipment.
