Timothy Tompkins of the 1249th Engineer Battalion, Task Force Gridley, Oregon Army National Guard, folds a flag during a mass flag-flying on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 on Forward Operating Base Sharana, Paktika province, Afghanistan. More than 200 flags were flown by the task force on that day. The flags will be sent to loved ones along with a certificate.
