A formal meeting or inspection is taking place in what appears to be an official building, possibly an airport or government facility. A mixed group of individuals, including military personnel in olive-green uniforms, civilians, and Western-dressed individuals, are gathered around two numbered wooden boxes (labeled 1 and 2). The setting and composition suggest this may be an official handover or repatriation ceremony.

Members of the United Nations Command, the Department of State, and Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), speak with personnel from the Korean People's Army before inspecting cases containing the possible remains of service members lost in the Korean War during a unilateral transfer in Wonsan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, July 27, 2018. The cases were transported via military aircraft to Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, for initial review before being transferred to DPAA's forensic laboratory at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting of our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class David J. Marshall)
