An honor guard detail tasked by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) moves transfer cases for transport during an honorable carry ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Aug. 1, 2018. The remains, recently repatriated from Kiribati, are believed to be linked to unidentified service members that went missing in action during the Battle of Tarawa in WWII. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
