The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers selected Park Ranger Shawna Polen, from the Canton Lake Project Office to receive the 2018 Chief of Engineers Natural Resources Management Hiram M. Chittenden Award for Interpretive Excellence recently. Polen was recognized for her outstanding contributions in interpretation and environmental education based upon her demonstration of creativity and originality to provide a positive experience for visitors.
