A group of four young men wearing matching dark polo shirts and lanyards are gathered around an exhibit display at what appears to be a natural history or science museum. They are examining an exhibit titled 'Changing Body Shapes and Sizes,' which includes skeletal remains visible in the foreground. The group appears to be on an organized tour or educational visit, as suggested by their matching attire and identification lanyards.

Ty Schlogl (left), Kieran Place, Shane Bombace and Augustine Sanchez tour the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History with other students during Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s 2018 Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy in Washington, July 17. Students accepted into the academy were hand-selected by a board of Marines who look to find attendees with similar character traits as Marines. Inspired by the Marine Corps' third promise of developing quality citizens, the program was designed to challenge and develop the nation's top-performing high school students so they could return to their communities more confident, selfless and better equipped to improve the lives of those around them. Schlogl is a student at Ticonderoga High School in Ticonderoga, New York. Place is a student at Zane Trace High School in Chillicothe, Ohio. Bombace is a student at Mount Sinai High School in Mount Sinai, New York. Sanchez is a student at Mesa Verde High School in Citrus Heights, California. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by LCpl.
