The Climate SOM Process within SAHARA, including mapping and training phases. The training phase includes interim steps which feedback to themselves iteratively; the iteration count is a tuning parameter. The mapping phase ensures that the output results reflect actual input days from the original climatology dataset so that hazard predictions are physically realistic.
