A primary marksmanship instructor with Edson Range, Weapons and Field Training Battalion, assists a recruit from Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, with his kneeling position during grass week at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 13. The PMIs corrected the recruits’ shooting positions to improve their ability to accurately fire their weapons for qualification. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Kilo Company is scheduled to graduate July 20.
