A lot happens on Al Udeid's Airfield and inside the installations control tower. Air traffic controllers within the 379th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron manage an expeditious flow of traffic at the busiest airfield in the U.S. Air Forces Central Command. There are approximately 200 air operations daily alongside Qatar Emiri Air Force counterparts in support of coalition and joint combat operations in the region. U.S. military air traffic controllers utilize the “tower team concept,” mandating that the control tower team, as a whole, has air traffic responsibility.
