A group of people stand along a metal railing on an elevated outdoor observation platform, looking out over a coastal town and bay with green hills in the background. The setting appears to be a high vantage point, possibly a military or government facility given the industrial building visible to the left. The weather appears overcast with low clouds partially obscuring the mountains.

180714-M-UG171-1007 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (July 14, 2018) Joe Donoghue, legislative director for Senator John McCain (R-AZ), and his staff are shown an aerial view of Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) from Kansas Tower, July 14, 2018. The visit was to provide an opportunity for various staff delegates from the offices of State Representatives to experience Rim of Pacific Exercise 2018 (RIMPAC) and participate in tours and meetings to extend their knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps equities around the island. RIMPAC provides high-value training for task-organized, highly capable Marine Air-Ground Task Force and enhances the critical crisis response capability of U.S. Marines in the Pacific. Twenty-five nations, 46 ships, five submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California.
