Remembering: Chairman of the German American Firefighters and Friends Association, Martin Zimmerman addresses the crowd during the 9/11 remembrance ceremony held at Sunday at Rose Barracks. Zimmerman was one of several people responsible for getting a girder from the Twin Towers brought to Germany to be incorporated into a memorial to the heroes of Sept. 11 to be built in the city of Oberviechtach.
