Two Lebanese soldiers unload ammunition delivered by the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, May 26, 2007. The C-17 Globemaster III is capable of rapid delivery of troops and cargo to any location worldwide. It's the newest and most flexible airlift asset in the Air Force inventory. The 816th maintained operations in Iraq and Afghanistan while supporting the effort to re-supply the Lebanon Armed Forces from their strategic location in Southwest Asia. The squadron has flown 10 sorties in May, to include the ammunition re-supply mission, cargo and passenger movement and Joint Precision Guided Air Drops. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt.
