During a Change of Responsibility ceremony on July 3, the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command honored outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Michael O’Donnell, and welcomed its eighth Command Sergeant Major, Command Sgt. Maj. George “Mike” Dove. Maj. Gen. Doug Gabram, AMCOM commander, thanked O’Donnell for his 30 years of service to the Nation, and the legacy he leaves behind in the Soldiers and civilians he has touched throughout his career. “The knowledge and skills will be difficult to replace, but he has trained us well. The words of the Noncommissioned Officer Creed embodies Command Sgt. Maj. O’Donnell and his 30 year career.” Looking toward Command Sgt. Maj. Dove, Gabram highlighted stated that he will bring an important strategic perspective to the Command, and his experience will take us to the next level. Gabram left Dove with the charge to “prepare to row hard and row fast.”
