GREAT LAKES, Ill. (June 29, 2018) Secretary of the Navy Richard V. Spencer congratulates Seaman Griffin Rinner for receiving the Navy League Award during boot camp graduation at Recruit Training Command (RTC). Spencer served as the reviewing officer for the pass-in-review graduation ceremony where more than 650 recruits graduated from the Navy’s only boot camp. Spencer was making his second visit to RTC since being named secretary of the Navy on Aug. 3, 2017. About 38,000 to 40,000 recruits graduate annually from RTC.
