    Gunnery Sgt. Jack Terrell is a native of Tylertown, Miss., and joined the Marine Corps in 1993, shortly after graduating from Salem High School. Terrell, 38, is currently deployed with Headquarters Company, Regimental Combat Team 8, as the company gunnery sergeant.
