U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Andre Mayfield, motor transport operator, Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, conducts a notional vehicle convoy in a Combat Convoy Simulator at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, June 21, 2018. The simulator provided instruction in convoy operations including resupply, patrols, logistics support, high-value target extraction, medical evacuations, call for close air support and call for fire. Additionally, the training provides Marines skills and knowledge about convoy tactics, techniques, procedures and use of weapons in compliance with the rules of engagement.
