U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Richard Chandler, an 18th Civil Engineer Squadron alarms systems technician from Kadena Air Base, Japan, connects the final wire on a fluorescent lighting unit at the Pollo Medical Training Center during Pacific Angel (PAC ANGEL) 2018 in Suai, Cova Lima Municipality, Southwest Timor-Leste, June 12, 2018. Chandler joined nearly 30 engineers dispersed across Cova Lima Municipality conducting various renovation and reconstruction projects at schools and medical facilities at the request of the local government during the planning phase of PAC ANGEL 18-1. The engineering team consisted of plumbers, electricians, structures specialists from installations spanning the Indo-Pacific region and included both joint and multilateral capacities such as the U.S. Marine Corps, the Royal Australian Air Force and the Timor-Leste Defense Force.
