Clean-up crews pick-up debris at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Aug. 29, after Hurricane Irene swept through the East Coast. JB MDL experienced wind speeds exceeding 70 mph and more than eight inches of rainfall Aug. 27 as Hurricane Irene swept through the area. Damage was minimal on base, however flooding is still an issue in the low lying areas on some roads and parking lots.
