Sterling Heights, Mich., native Pfc. Robert A. Weimer, a rifleman with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, suffered a core-body temperature of 107 degrees during a patrol. Despite enduring two heat-related injuries, Weimer took initiative to learn from the corpsmen in his company to help take care of his fellow Marines and sailors.
