PEO C3T’s PM for Tactical Network equipped the first unit—the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division—in February with the new inflatable satellite communications system known as Transportable Tactical Command Communications. The system, which makes possible expeditionary mission command and situational awareness in the heart of evolving fights, is one of dozens of communication networks, radios, satellite systems and other hardware and software that Thurston helps to oversee as PEO C3T’s chief of staff.
