Cases containing possible remains of unidentified service members line the cargo hold of a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III in transport to Offutt Air force Base, Nebraska, June 12th, 2018. The contents of 17 transfer cases will be moved during an honorable carry to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) skeletal identification laboratory at Offutt AFB to be examined by forensic anthropologists and forensic odontologists. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
