A young candidate of the California Army National Guard’s Grizzly Academy shows faith by falling backwards into the arms of fellow students July 19 during Day 2 of a two-week preliminary at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif. The teenage students have this time to consider furthering their potential. Those who pass the training or decide to go on will participate in the Grizzly Academy’s five-month course.
