Joseph Hines, a Mesa, Arizona, native and an infantryman assigned to the 1st Infantry Division’s Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard, helps divers pull a paratrooper from a river during a multinational parachute jump in Normandy, France, June 3. “Big Red One” Soldiers provided medical coverage and were posted along a river that ran through the drop zone in support of the exercise which was part of the 74th D-Day commemoration.
