An aerial view of a large industrial circular tank or digester under construction or renovation at what appears to be a wastewater treatment facility. Workers in high-visibility safety gear are visible on scaffolding surrounding the tank, which features a newly installed aluminum or metallic geodesic dome roof. The facility is located in what appears to be Hawaii, based on the tropical vegetation, mountainous backdrop, and coastal urban landscape visible in the background.

Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii is upgrading the wastewater treatment plant at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam by removing the floating steel roofs and replacing them with fixed aluminum dome covers. The new covers will help capture methane gas for future energy projects and use it as an alternative fuel source. (U.S. Navy photo by Denise Emsley)
