U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Jason Pacheco, a native of Las Vegas, New Mexico, participates in a 2018 DoD Warrior Games Wheelchair Basketball preliminary match at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 3, 2018. The Warrior Games is an adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. Approximately 300 athletes representing teams from the Marine Corps, Navy, Army, Air Force, Special Operations Command, United Kingdom Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces, and the Australian Defence Force will compete June 1 - June 9 in archery, cycling, track, field, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, and - new this year - powerlifting and indoor rowing.
