COMBAT OUTPOST SHIR GHAZAY, Afghanistan - Philadelphia native Staff Sgt. Kareem O. Cox peeks over his hatch as his M1A1 Abrams Main Battle tank rolls through the sands of Helmand province. Cox, a tank commander with Alpha Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division (Forward), said he spends hours getting to know his Marines on missions to help keep morale high.
