A replica of Miss Veedol taxis away from the Misawa Air Museum as it prepares for a demonstration flight in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the first non-stop trans-Pacific flight. Miss Veedol, a 1931 Bellanca Skyrocket J-400, departing from Misawa and landing in East Wenatchee, Wash., was the first aircraft to fly across the Pacific Ocean nonstop.
