Both Soldiers are chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialists with the 773rd Civil Support Team, 7th Civil Support Command, who participated in a field training exercise as part of Guardian Shield 11 at Rhine Ordnance Barracks in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Aug. 5. The exercise tested the 7th CSC capability of providing consequence management command and control during a crisis situation and brought together for the first time the Emergency Management Assessment Team, U.S. Army Garrison Heidelberg; the 12th Chemical Company from Schweinfurt, Germany; and the 773rd CST to train and function as one coherent unit.
