U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Robert Laning, fire chief, waits for a C-130 to land outside of Forward Operating Base Apache, Afghanistan, Aug. 14. The C-130 brought personnel into the base and delivered the firefighters FX, which contains additional supplies. The firefighters are part of a team, deployed to set up crass, fire and rescue at a bare base.
