After maneuvering out of insurgent fire, Capt. Sean P. Cunningham (center), a fire control team leader with 1st Air-Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, maintains contact with helicopters via radio while Lance Cpl. Aaron Figueroa, a fire support man with 1st ANGLICO, provides security during a patrol in Nahr-e Saraj District, Helmand province, Aug. 9. The patrol’s ground forces and AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopters coordinated a Hellfire missile strike on an insurgent compound which allowed friendly forces to maneuver out of harm’s way. Cunningham is a native of Indialantic, Fla., while Figueroa is from Chicago.
