Col. Edith Greene, commander, 642nd Regional Support Group, unveils the colors for her command during a Transfer of Authority ceremony held here Aug. 11. The 642nd replaced 651st RSG, and will be shaping the future of Third Army/ARCENT by taking responsibility for deployment and redeployment operations in the U.S. Army Central Command area of operation. The 642nd RSG will play a vital role in Third Army/ARCENT taking the lead in the drawdown from Iraq and meeting the Presidential direction in Afghanistan.
