CAMP SMITH, Hawaii (May 18, 2018) – Commander, U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM), Adm. Harry Harris and Republic of the Philippines Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea render honors during a ceremony at PACOM headquarters. The leaders are meeting at PACOM prior to Harris' change of command ceremony later this month. The Philippine delegation included Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alan Cayetano, Secretary of National Defense Delfin Lorenzana, Secretary of Interior and Local Government retired Gen. Eduardo Año, and Philippine Ambassador to the U.S. Jose Romualdez. The leaders reaffirmed their countries' commitments to their shared interests and to each other, as long-standing friends, partners and allies in the Indo-Pacific region.
