Staff Sgt. Stephanie Avery, 821st Contingency Response Squadron commander's support staff admin, shares her Air Force history during the weekly staff meeting May 16, 2018. The 821st CRSS leadership is using the Whole Airman Concept to find innovative ways to incorporate leadership development into their everyday squadron routine. In order to learn more about the individual Airmen in the CRSS, Airmen are encouraged to briefly present their story during the “Gladiator Moment” initiative. The 821st CRSS was recently recognized by the Profession of Arms Center of Excellence and Air University Leadership Institute for their innovative leadership development programs and the unit was awarded the 2017 PACE Leadership Impact award.
