Cpl. Leon Sandy, patient, Wounded Warrior Battalion West - Detachment Hawaii, does a training exercise with Bella, a 4-year-old German short hair and a Hawaii Fi-Do dog on July 29. Since July 15, warriors from the detachment have been working with specially trained dogs from the local nonprofit organization. The organization is conducting a six-week program with the wounded warriors, offering emotional therapy through interaction with specially trained dogs.
