Smith was observing more than 100 Ohio National Guard Airmen participating in Buckeye One, one of the largest State Partnership Program exchanges between the Ohio National Guard and Hungary since the program began in 1993. In 2018, the Ohio National Guard marks 25 years of partnering with Hungary through the National Guard’s State Partnership Program, which pairs U.S. states’ National Guards with partner nations around the world to promote regional stability and civil-military relationships.
