Runners participate in a 5K run on the flight line at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island before the start of the Centennial of Naval Aviation celebration. Thousands attended the open base celebration for a chance to see vintage aircrafts from local heritage collections, U.S. Navy aircraft with historic paint schemes, as well as military aircraft currently being flown around the world.
