U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit 313, forward deployed from Everett, Wash., patrols the inner harbor at Kuwait Naval Base. Combined Task Group 56.5 provides anti-terrorism and force protection at Kuwait Naval Base. Maritime Expeditionary Security patrol boat units are deployed as part of Combined Task Force 56 in support of maritime and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
