    New York National Guard

    Yavoriv, Ukraine – Ukrainian Soldiers assigned to 3rd Battalion, 80th Air Assault Brigade search for an improvised explosive device (IED) while conducting counter-IED training at the Yavoriv Combat Training Center (CTC) here May 7. Currently more than 220 New York Army National Guard Soldiers are stationed at the CTC where they are mentoring Ukrainian Army units as they strive toward their goal of obtaining NATO compatibility.
